The Menagerie - Part 2
Stardate: 3012.4 / Airdate: 11.17.66
Spock's refusal to release control of the Enterprise has not only jeopardized his career and set him on a path to the death penalty, but also has apparently ended the career of Captain Kirk, since "a Captain is responsible for everything that occurs on his ship." With Spock in the brig and images no longer being transmitted from Talos IV, the trial appears to be over. Have the Talosians abandoned Spock and Captain Pike? Has Kirk lost his ship? Can Commodore Mendez disable the Enterprise in time to prevent its entering orbit with Talos IV and save Spock's life?
